Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR)

Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR), in computer graphics terminology, is a mathematical ratio that describes how the horizontal length of a pixel in an imaging system compares to its vertical height.

Contrast Ratio

The contrast ratio is a measure of a display system, defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest color (white) to that of the darkest color (black) that the system is capable of producing. A high contrast ratio is a desired aspect of any display.

High-Definition Television

High-definition television (HDTV) is a digital television broadcasting system with higher resolution than traditional television systems (standard-definition TV, or SDTV). HDTV is digitally broadcast; the earliest implementations used analog broadcasting, but today digital television (DTV) signals are used, requiring less bandwidth due to digital video compression.

Home Cinema / Home Theater

Home cinema, also called home theater, are entertainment systems that seek to reproduce movie theater quality video and audio in a private home.

Display Resolution

The display resolution of a digital television or computer display typically refers to the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed.
One use of the term "display resolution" applies to fixed-pixel-array displays such as plasma display panels (PDPs), liquid crystal displays (LCDs), digital light processing (DLP) projectors, or similar technologies, and is simply the physical number of columns and rows of pixels creating the display (e.g., 1280×1024). A consequence of having a fixed grid display is that for multiformat video inputs all displays need a "scaling-engine" (a digital video processor that includes a memory array) to match the incoming picture format to the display.

View Angle

View Angle refers to the widest angle at which a person can view their TV before the blacks start to looked washed out or colours start to fade.

nLighten display response time is only 0.016 ms. Which means no motion blur. nLighten displays use an advanced 5 colour colour wheel system.
